Overview
Moving to Germany as an expat means confronting one of the most complex bureaucratic systems in Europe. From residence permits and Anmeldung to health insurance and tax declarations, every process involves dense legal language, strict deadlines, and scattered information across dozens of government websites.
burode.chat was born out of that frustration. The idea was simple: build an AI assistant that actually understands German administrative law and can give you clear, reliable answers in any language, 24/7.
We built a retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipeline that ingests official German regulations, legal texts, and government resources. When a user asks a question, the system retrieves the most relevant documents and generates an answer grounded in real sources — not hallucinations.
Users can also upload official German letters or forms directly into the chat. The AI reads the document, explains what it means, what's being asked, and what steps to take next.
